Forgiving My Mother, A Famous Murderer

My mother was a prostitute and stripper, cheated on every man she had been with and dragged us around as kids. Then, she murdered her husband back in 2011. She became famous for this murder, the media called her the “Black Widow of Texas”. After murdering him, she asked me to help frame someone else for the murder as I was cleaning up his remains out of the carpet (yes, cops had cleared the scene by this point). I was forced to testify against her in court when she started trying to make people believe that my brother did it. In 2014 she was found guilty for murder and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

I never played victim but I did allow these memories to jade me and turn me into an angry man.

So, on June 26th I started from Zilker Park in Austin,

Texas and walked 80 miles to Gatesville, Texas where my mother is imprisoned. I walked so that I had time to process the memories and truly forgive her for everything.

I shared this journey publicly for the world to watch, because I knew that if you watched me forgive her... it would motivate you to forgive those that have hurt you.  I accomplished my mission and forgave my mother face to face.  I am now continuing my journey by taking steps every day to transform my life after forgiveness.
